Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actress. She also sings. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. She began to gain confidence during the 9th grade, when she entered a school audition. She was praised for her performance. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition however, she also re-evaluate her the direction of her career. She graduated from New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She was 23 when she had her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail, were her biggest break. Her greatest break came in the role of The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her role. The following year, in 2007 she was cast on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is also a known artist and released an extended play. She also works as an LGBT activist.
